Total (Complete) Dentures

Complete dentures are prostheses, which are applied in cases where all teeth are lost for various reasons. The lost lip and cheek fullness is restored with the help of the dentures, and the face is provided with a younger appearance. A beautiful smile is obtained by arranging the teeth used in complete dentures following aesthetic rules. Complete dentures are tissue-supported removable prostheses that transmit the chewing pressure on them to the jawbone through the prosthesis body and soft tissues. Innovations in implants have made total prostheses not the only treatment option applied in edentulous mouths.

Partial Dentures

Partial dentures; These are prostheses made to replace the missing teeth in cases where there are one or more missing teeth in the mouth. Partial dentures can be detached and re-attached by the patient. It can be tooth-supported or both tooth and tissue-supported.

Do I need to have dental veneers while classical partial dentures are being placed?

It is not always necessary to perform veneers on the teeth to which the clasps connect. Your dentist can provide prosthesis retention by preparing sockets on the teeth.
