The Pediatric Dentist (pedodontist) is a specialist dentist with special education and experience in child psychology and approach to children and training for the dental development of children and adolescents and the solution of dental problems in milk and permanent teeth. The treatment of decay, deficiency or trauma in the milk and permanent teeth or preventive treatment of future disorders are the treatments in pedodontics. Pediatric dentistry is a branch of dentistry that deals with the dental problems of children between the ages of 0-13 and their preventive treatment. Flour gel and fissure sealants are applied as a preservative. Milk teeth are important because they guide the permanent teeth from the bottom with the area they cover. Early tooth loss causes this function to end. Space maintainer prosthesis is crafted in cases of early tooth loss. Nutrition is vital to prevent tooth decay. The effects of sugary foods and beverages are known. Such nutrition should be avoided for both general health and oral health. Children who meet with a dentist at an early age and are examined are more comfortable with atraumatic dental treatments at an advanced age. The sedation option is considered in patients at a very young age who cannot be treated by persuasion.
