Patients should present to the appointments on a full stomach. During the procedure, the tooth&#8217;s intra-oral examination and radiographical evaluation are carried out to decide whether open or closed extraction will be performed. In the closed extraction method, the numb tooth is extracted without any flap or bone lifting procedure. The open extraction method is preferred when closed extraction is not eligible and in impacted tooth extractions. A flap will be lifted from the extraction site. Then a layer of bone will be raised above the tooth, and the tooth will be extracted as a single piece or in divided fragments.
